Folkers has more than 30 years of experience installing replacement windows and doors. We’ve been installing shutters on the Gulf Coast since before Hurricane Frederic in 1979. No other company in our area has experience that comes close.

We’re Local

Folkers is locally-owned and operated, and we comply with all local engineering and building codes that are specific to our region. Over 90% of Central and South Florida homes are masonry construction. Shutter construction and installation procedures developed in those areas are not suitable for wood frame, brick veneer homes on the Gulf Coast. In fact, a unique set of engineering specifications has been developed for Gulf Coast homes. All too often out-of-town salespeople or new contractors misrepresent the strength, durability, or proper function of storm shutters. A shutter that does not stay attached provides no protection.
Folkers has been manufacturing and installing quality shutters for more than 25 years. Many other manufacturers and suppliers are based in Central and South Florida. Folkers is one of only a few companies on the northern Gulf Coast that manufactures and installs.
